Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Group offers special paid leave for employees receiving COVID-19 vaccination

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (Headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Calin Dragan; hereafter "CCBJI"), as a part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, has announced employee attendance policies when receiving vaccinations.

 

To allow employees who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccination to flexibly schedule appointments while avoiding busy times of the day, CCBJI will permit vaccinations during work hours, and exempt employees from work during such time. If employees feel unwell on the day of vaccination or in the following days, they are eligible to take special paid leave in principle.

 

■ Eligible employees

Permanent, rehired, senior, partner, and part-time employees of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Group (Note)

 

■ Period

April 12, 2021 to February 28, 2022 (tentative) 

*Conforms to the COVID-19 vaccination implementation period specified by the government

 

■ Details

[Vaccination day]

Employees who are vaccinated during work hours are exempted from work at that time.

Employees who experience pain or feel unwell after vaccination, and find it difficult to work on the day, are eligible to take special paid leave at the discretion of their managers.

[The day after vaccination]

Employees who experience side effects or feel unwell are eligible to take one day of special paid leave in principle.

 

*The same applies for their 2nd vaccination and beyond.
