FV Japan sells masks in beverage vending machines in Tokyo and 3 prefectures

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. would like to extend its deepest sympathies to those who have been affected by COVID-19.
The company also thanks all those who continue to work tirelessly at this very moment to prevent the further spread of infections.

FV Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters in Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Tatsuhiko Sano; hereafter “FV Japan”), a group company of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc., will expand the sale of masks in beverage vending machines to Tokyo and 3 prefectures (Gunma, Aichi, Fukuoka) starting September 9, 2020 and will also increase the number of vending machines 5 to 26.

As part of efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, FV Japan uses its beverage vending machines to sell masks without face-to-face, human contact. Official sales began in August following testing in July, and due to popular demand from customers to continue, we have decided to expand the service areas. In addition to the previous 5 vending machines at Sunshine City in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, masks will be sold in vending machines of airports, sports facilities and time-rental parking lots for more customer convenience.

One mask sells for 800 yen (incl. tax) and comes refrigerated in a dedicated glass case, similar to other soft drinks. The mask itself is made of aerosilver material and is certified as an SEK mark textile product. It feels cool to the touch and has antibacterial and infrared emission benefits, absorbs moisture and dries quickly, eliminates odor, protects from UV rays and can be washed for repeated use.
