Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc.
Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (Headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Calin Dragan; hereafter “CCBJI”) is working on various community revitalization initiatives in response to the ever-changing social environment amid the spread of COVID-19, with the top priority on the health of all stakeholders.
Under the influence of the social change associated with the spread of the new coronavirus, such as school closures, self-isolation, and reduced contact with people, the number of children who cannot eat well is increasing, and efforts by local people to distribute food (food pantry) to families in need of food are spreading. Amid such circumstances, CCBJI worked with Saitama Prefecture on community support to consider how we can collaborate on provision of food for the food pantry, and provided today, May 21, about 4,700 bottles of Coca-Cola products for free of charge. The products will be distributed for free to those who are in need of food through the Saitama Food Pantry Network (a network organization run by a food pantry governing body in the prefecture).
In January, 2020, CCBJI concluded the "Collaboration agreement to support places for children including children's cafeteria" with Saitama Prefecture and the Saitama Prefecture Council of Social Welfare. We are glad to have been able to collaborate with the local government through this collaboration agreement.
Under our corporate philosophy to “Deliver happy moments to everyone while creating values”, CCBJI will remain committed to CSV (Creating Shared Value) and provide solutions through our business to the challenges that regions are faced with, and continue to seek for collaboration with all our partners.
