“Agreement on Comprehensive Collaboration” concluded with Kazo City
for improvement of public services and vitalization of communities

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (Headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Calin Dragan; hereafter “CCBJI”) on Wednesday, February 12 concluded “Agreement on Comprehensive Collaboration” with Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture (City Mayor: Ryoichi Ohashi).

Kazo City has been selected to be the Host Town of Republic of Colombia, and is working on “creating momentum for the Olympics for the citizens and building legacies for the next generation” as we host the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Through the signing of this agreement, Kazo City and CCBJI will work closely together and communicate face to face with each other as partners to improve services for residents and drive growth and development of the city. Furthermore, we will promote regional revitalization by fostering momentum in Tokyo 2020, and promote efforts to improve the life of the citizens in a wide range of fields, including childcare support, crime and disaster prevention, health, sports and social welfare.

Continuing to uphold “community-based” and “customer-centric” as the management principles, CCBJI will come close to the people’s lives and daily livings, and contribute to local communities as a total beverage company that delivers happy, refreshing moments every day, and in every occasion of their lives.

【Comments by Ryoichi Ohashi, Mayor of Kazo City】

As the Host Town of the Republic of Colombia, Kazo City has been involved in various projects including hosting pre-competition training camps of weight lifting and wresting teams and events for schools and local people to interact with Colombian athletes.

We are going to host a pre-competition training camp of Columbian teams in July, and the torch relay will go through the city of Kazo on July 8. Kazo City will take it as a great opportunity to create a city full of energy using the power of sports with everyone in the city. We are grateful to have concluded a comprehensive agreement with Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. as this will provide us great support to “create a city where young people gather together” through sports.

【Comments from CCBJI Head of Kanto Area Sales Yutaka Inoue】

I am glad that we made this agreement with Kazo City, our important customer, to collaborate on community revitalization and improvement of public services.

Kazo City, which is a Host Town of Colombia, is working to further improve public services for citizens, and building momentum for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 and creating legacies of the era.
We will install JOC Olympic Support VMs and Torch Relay Memorial VMs in Kazo City, and help them revitalize the communities by providing support in various events that Kazo City hosts in order to create momentum for the Olympic and Paralympic games.
