William Tupou, Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan employee and Coca-Cola Red Sparks rugby player selected for Japan National Team to compete in the Rugby World Cup Japan 2019!

William Tupou, a member of the Coca-Cola Red Sparks, the rugby club of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (Headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Calin Dragan; hereafter “CCBJI”) was selected as a Japan national team player for the Rugby World Cup Japan 2019, which will start on Friday, September 20.

William Tupou played in the starting lineup in all three matches (against Fiji, Tonga, USA) of the 2019 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup, held from Saturday, July 27 to Saturday, August 10, where he had great results which contributed to the victory of the Japan national team. Tupou was selected as a national team member for the Rugby World Cup Japan 2019 based on the results from the 2019 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup and others.

CCBJI operates two company sports clubs, Coca-Cola Red Sparks men’s rugby and Coca-Cola Red Sparks women’s field hockey. Both teams not only deliver excitement to local communities by competing in their respective leagues, but also create opportunities for young people to exercise, improve their technical abilities, and learn through sports clinics and other community activities, in line with CCBJI’s community-based corporate philosophy. The teams actively participate in local events to help create a bright and vibrant community and a society in which everyone can live actively and healthily.

CCBJI will continue to create an environment where Tupou is able to concentrate on the games as a national team member for the Rugby World Cup Japan 2019 while also managing his daily business activities and contributing to local communities through sports.
