A new section to provide visual experience of production process is completed!

Ecola Museum, a plant tour facility at Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. Kyoto Plant, opens a new section!

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (Headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Calin Dragan; hereafter “CCBJI”) in July 2019 built a new plant tour section at Ecola Museum, a plant tour facility in CCBJI Kyoto Plant (Kumiyama-cho, Kuse-gun, Kyoto), which provides visual experience of the production process.

Ecola Museum started providing a plant tour program in January 2005 so that visitors can enjoy learning about Kyoto Plant, which delivers safe and secure products to all customers. Since then, about 550,000 customers※ visited the facility. ※As of end of 2018

This time, for the purpose of making the plant tour even more enjoyable, CCBJI built a new section called “plant ball section” in the “Challenge zone”, where visitors can enjoy hands-on experience. It is composed of simplified graphics of the PET bottle production process and system devices made of parts such as gear wheels and belts. When you put a ball, it travels through various system devices, allowing you to visually experience the process of producing PET bottle products in an enjoyable manner. It is available to all those who visit the place to participate in the plant tour.

CCBJI values plant tour as an important place to have direct communications with all stakeholders including customers and local residents, and will continue to provide extensive plant tour programs.
