Coca Cola Bottlers Japan employees ran in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay as a member of Team Coca Cola!

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay kicked off on March 24. On March 27, the third day of the torch relay, a Coca Cola Bottlers Japan employee from Futaba Town, of which all residents are still in evacuation 10 years from the Great East Japan Earthquake, ran the city of Koriyama in Fukushima Prefecture.

He said, “I ran thinking, it’s my turn to send out my message of appreciation to all the people involved. I want to deliver as many happy feelings to as many people as possible.”

On April 5, a Coca Cola Bottlers Japan employees ran the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, as a member of Team Coca Cola.

She worked as a part time employee selling Coca Cola at Nagoya Dome during university and now works as an Account Manager at Coca Cola Bottlers Japan. She said, “I ran in my local town of Gifu Prefecture as a torchbearer, thinking of the path I’ve walked alongside Coca Cola.”

 

Coca Cola is the presenting partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay.
