Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (hereafter “CCBJI”), Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Vending Inc., and FV Japan Co., Ltd. held a joint entrance ceremony today for the 205 new employees joining the Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Group in 2023.

To ensure the safety of our employees and prevent the spread of COVID-19, this year’s ceremony, as in the previous year, was held online. The event featured a new employee introduction video, created by a representative of the new hires, as well as an online broadcast from the Hiroshima Plant. President Dragan and other Group executives joined to welcome the new employees. The President gave the following address.

Message from Calin Dragan, Representative Director, President & CEO (excerpt)

The CCBJI Group asks every employee to improve their skills and grow constantly. In a fast-changing business environment, we cannot win in the market and survive if we are hung up on our past successes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we changed many things: our business model, organization, processes, and the ways we work. I expect you all to continue learning and growing without being afraid to change. We take great pride in our Coca-Cola products and brand. Every day, we strive to earn the trust and support of our stakeholders. We are committed to two important goals: the recovery and growth of our own business and leading a sustainable beverage industry while preserving the natural environment. To this end, we take important initiatives as a Coca-Cola system member. We still have a lot to do, but with the help of you all joining us today, we will pull together as One Team. In the CCBJI Group, everyone works to create value for our stakeholders, no matter what role they play. I hope you all will grow and do great things in your work here.
