At Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, many of our employees actively participate in local cleanup activities around Sale Centers and plants, and working with NPOs and local governments to further improve the collection and recycling of packages.
As part of our cleanup activities, we work with green bird, a certified NPO that is active nationwide, in garbage-picking activities across the country during the two weeks ('Zero waste WEEK') before and after "Zero waste day" on May 30.

Green bird is a project launched from Harajuku/Omotesando under the concept, "a beautiful city also cleans the hearts and minds of the people," and nearly 80 teams participate in and outside Japan.
Kagoshima team mainly cleans Kagoshima City twice a month under the slogan, "Make the city of Kagoshima cleaner and happier! Make Kagoshima the cleanest city in Japan!" Our employees also volunteer in the street cleanup, and as they became involved, they felt the need to support green bird's efforts through our business, which led to the installation of a donation-type vending machine in 'Tenmonkan,' the largest entertainment district in Kagoshima City.
Part of proceeds from this vending machine will be donated to green bird for their activities.

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan will continue to actively participate in local cleanup activities, promote the installation of support vending machines such as this one, strive to improve the collection and recycling of packages, and work to resolve regional issues through our core business.
