In cooperation with Edogawa Gosei Co., Ltd., Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. placed the very first unit of a vending machine that supports Japan Hearing Dogs for Deaf People (JHDDP), a social welfare corporation designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, and that depicts pictures of JHDDP's actively working "local hearing/service dogs", on the 2nd floor of Edogawa's office.

There have been some vending machines in the past that support hearing dogs; however, this is the first unit installed via collaboration between JHDDP and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan. This wrapping vending machine is designed with JHDDP's adorable local hearing/service dogs, and a part of its proceeds will be donated to JHDDP for the enhancement of its activities for hearing/service dogs.

Edogawa Gosei, the location of the first unit of the vending machine, is a paints manufacturer who provides new coating value under the slogan, "creative solutions to meet customer needs" and places importance on "listening to customers". The company has been actively helping the training, penetration, and educational activities for hearing/service dogs who share the same value of "having ears and supporting people".
Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan also endorses such activities under its corporate philosophy, "deliver happy moments to everyone while creating value". As part of the efforts in working on challenges of the community through the core business, we have been able to make this initiative come true.

What is Japan Hearing Dogs for Deaf People (JHDDP)?

Japan hearing Dogs Association is the only internationally accredited organization by Assistance Dog International (ADI) in Japan (as of March 2020). As a social welfare corporation designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, JHDDP trains and certifies quality hearing/service dogs and leases them for free across Japan. Since its establishment in 1996, JHDDP has continuously been working on wider recognition and usage of hearing/service dogs through the strong bond with users.
