Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan holds "Let's Learn at Plant! Summer School" during the summer holidays every year to offer families opportunities to learn while having fun.

"Let's Learn at Plant! Summer School" is a special program held only during the summer holidays where participants can acquire the correct knowledge of products and learn the importance of rehydration while having fun through "Drink Education" seminar and original mixed drink making in addition to the regular plant tour. Our summer school enjoys a great popularity each time it is held, attracting a large number of applications that substantially exceeds the capacity.

Summer School at Tama Plant was held for 2 day on July 21 (Saturday) and 22 (Sunday), and approximately 500 people including elementary school/junior high school children and their parents participated in it.
Participants watched a video about the history of Coca-Cola and quality control and observed the production line in the regular plant tour program. Afterward, the special program finally started!

At "Drink Education" seminar, using teaching materials, our company employee served as a lecturer and explained about the importance of rehydration, points in selecting beverages, a way of reading ingredient label or calorie label, etc. All participants were listening to the lecture with a strong focus.

The lecture was followed by the activity of making mixed drinks. While considering features of each drink, everyone set his or her own theme such as "Perfect for rehydration in summer", "Zero-calorie mix" and "Takes a pride in visual deliciousness" and took up a challenge of making the one-and-only original mixed drink in the world. Comments such as "It was fun!" and "I made an incredible drink!" were voiced by participants.

At the venue, many of participants were listening to the lecture or taking pictures or notes with a strong focus in order to find topics for their independent research for the summer holidays.
After the program was over, participants gave us comments such as "I want to come back" and "It was fun" and returned home with souvenirs.
