Report on Fundraising on the Street for “Disaster Caused by the Heavy Rains in Western Japan”

We would like to express our sympathy to those who have suffered from the recent heavy rains that mainly affected western Japan.

On August 2 (Thursday), Coca-Cola Red Sparks Hockey Club staged a fundraising on the street together with members of teams that belong to a specified non-profit corporation, TOPS Hiroshima.

22 players and staff members from Red Sparks participated in this fundraising, and 85 people in total were divided into groups and called for contributions at 3 separate locations in Hiroshima City. Within a short time of approximately 1 hour, contributions amounting to 358,759 yen were collected thanks to hearty support from so many people.

The collected contributions will be used to support disaster-stricken areas through Chugoku Shimbun Social Welfare Service Corporation.

To help disaster victims and people in Hiroshima gain their strength fast, we, Red Sparks, would like to consider what we can do for them and continue support activities in future.

※TOPS Hiroshima (Official name: Hiroshima Top Sport Club Network) is a non-profit organization established through a cooperation between Hiroshima-based sports clubs that are top-level in Japan to liven up sports activities in Hiroshima.
