Let's Enjoy Environmental Studies in a Foreign Language in Kyoto Plant

"Foreign Language" x "Environment"
Let's learn about the themes that we want to share with the children in a foreign language program and have fun!

We are holding our popular event, "Let's Enjoy Environmental Studies in a Foreign Language", this year again for kids to experience the environmental problems that are familiar to us in a workshop in foreign languages!
Last year, we had plant tours and workshops using empty containers and plastic bags, and rolled out programs to communicate "importance of water", "sorting and recycling of waste", and "need of reducing plastic bags". Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. and the students of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, who are the organizers of this event, are planning "Programs to bring excitement to kids"! We are sure that we can provide great programs this year too.

We are planning to prepare "memorable experiential events" that prompt kids, who will be moving on to the global stage in future, to think about the environment and be environmentally friendly as soon as today.
We look forward to your participation!

We had about 90 people participating in this event last year. And in addition to the plant tour where you can learn how to make beverages, the university students showed elaborately planned plays, quizzes and activities this year. The kids were nervous at first to introduce themselves in English, but the university students helped them feel at ease and they started active discussions soon. They worked with each other on sorting the wastes, saying "This should be sorted here", and learned recycling of the resources.

"It was great that I got to learn a lot about the environment!"
"It was fun to get to know many different languages!"
We heard these comments from kids at the venue after the event. We hope that we can provide an event where we can hear active discussions between kids and see their big smiles this year again. Please look forward to it.
