Thank you very much for your support to the Coca Cola Red Sparks Rugby Team.
The Rugby World Cup 2019 will finally start in Japan on Friday, September 20.
The Japan Rugby Football Union has recently announced the final 31 members of the men's national team for the Rugby World Cup 2019. From Coca-Cola Red Sparks, Player William Tupou was named for the squid!
He played in the starting lineup in the three matches (against Fiji, Tonga, and USA) of the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup 2019 held from Saturday, July 27 to Saturday, August 10, where he showed outstanding performance and contributed to the victory of the national team. This led to his winning a place in the national team for the Rugby World Cup 2019.
To celebrate the selection of Player Tupou as a member of the national team and pray for his success in the tournament, we held a pep rally involving employees. We share the resolution full of spirit toward the tournament he declared on that day.
【Comment from Player Tupou】
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for so many people supporting me. I think Fukuoka is my second home, and I will work hard for the company, for fans who support me, and for my family. I want to return the favor to Fukuoka by showing good performance. I will fulfill a position whatever it is (do whatever I can), aiming at making the top eight, which the Japan's national team is targeting at.”
We hope that you’re looking forward to Player Tupou's performance in the Rugby World Cup 2019. Please provide passionate support!
