Sunday, December 9, Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, in cooperation with Kagawa Prefecture Rugby Football Association, held the "Coca-Cola Red Sparks Rugby Clinic Kagawa" at the school ground of Kagawa Prefectural Sakaide Tech High School in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture.
It was a beautiful, but December-like cold day after a few warm days, but the rugby team members and all other 50 participants apparently didn't mind it at all. They were running around the field energetically and enjoyably for about two hours, being coached basic movement of the sport by five trainers including the former all-Japan rugby team’s head coach Shogo Mukai, Kota Yamashita and Naoki Sarugaku of Coca-Cola Red Sparks Rugby Team.
Coca-Cola Red Sparks Rugby Clinic sessions have been held in our sales areas from Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture in the north to Kumamoto Prefecture in the south. The recent session in Kagawa was the 33rd and the last one this year.
Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan will continue to contribute to healthy upbringing of children and lively communities, delivering excitement with company sports to lots of people, teaching rugby's basic technics mainly to high school/college students, as well as wider generations from kindergartners to adults, and rolling out activities to let people know the importance of water intake.
